Los Poceños Enters Guadalajara Film Festival March 2008
Los Poceños: The Story of Pozos to Screen at the 2008 Guadalajara Film Festival and Film Market.
Los Poceños is a fascinating set of interviews with survivors, descendants and pioneers of a former mining town turned Artists Colony in the central highlands of Mexico. Director Cynthia Buzzard conducts stirring interviews during her residency in Mineral de Pozos in the State of Guanajuato. This project challenges the nature of documentary filmmaking in that it combines the dual perspectives of a writer and documentarian to promote the concept that history is not always what it seems.
Filmed entirely on location in Pozos, filmmaker Cynthia Buzzard guides us along an emotional journey of often contradictory family accounts of war and revolution.
